About these terms

These terms set out the contract between you (the guest) and Cambridge Accommodation Stay Ltd, trading as CA Stay (the Operator), when you book a stay through ca-stay.com. By completing a booking on our website you agree to these terms.

The booking

A booking is confirmed once we have received the full payment via Stripe and you have received a confirmation email from us containing a booking reference (in the form CA-YYYY-NNNN). If for any reason payment fails or the dates become unavailable, the booking does not take effect.

Payment

We charge the full amount at the time of booking. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and are VAT-inclusive where VAT applies. We do not store your card details. Stripe handles all card data on our behalf.

Check-in and check-out

Unless stated otherwise on the property page:

  • Check-in is from 15:00 on the day of arrival.
  • Check-out is by 11:00 on the day of departure.

If you need different times, please email info@ca-stay.com in advance. We will accommodate where possible but cannot guarantee changes.

Address and access

For security, the exact street address of your accommodation is not displayed publicly on the website. We will email you the address, key collection details, and Wi-Fi password the day before check-in.

House rules

While staying at any CA Stay property you agree to:

  • Treat the property and its contents with reasonable care.
  • Respect neighbours: no parties, no loud music after 22:00.
  • Not exceed the stated maximum occupancy of the accommodation.
  • Not smoke inside the property (smoking outdoors is permitted unless stated otherwise).
  • Inform us of any breakages or damage as soon as you notice them.

Significant breaches of these rules may result in us asking you to leave without refund.

Pets

Pets are only permitted where the property listing explicitly says “pet-friendly”. A pet supplement may apply. Please email us before booking if you are unsure.

Damage and security

You are responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents during your stay, beyond normal wear and tear. We may charge reasonable replacement or repair costs to the card used for the booking, after notifying you in writing with an itemised quote.

Cancellations and refunds

Our cancellation policy is published separately at ca-stay.com/cancellation-policy. The summary:

  • More than 14 days before check-in: full refund.
  • 7 to 14 days before check-in: 50% refund.
  • Less than 7 days before, or no-show: no refund.
  • Genuine emergencies (serious illness, bereavement, travel restrictions): discretionary, often full refund.

To cancel a booking, email info@ca-stay.com. There is no self-cancellation link.

Changes by us

If for reasons outside our control (such as property damage or a maintenance emergency) we cannot honour your booking, we will:

  1. Refund the full amount paid, and
  2. Where possible, offer an alternative property of equivalent standard.

Liability

We accept no liability for personal belongings left in the property. We strongly recommend you take out your own travel insurance.

Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
