Overview
Cancellations of CA Stay direct bookings are handled by us directly. There is no self-cancellation option on the website. To cancel or change a booking, contact us at info@ca-stay.com or reply to your confirmation email. We aim to respond within one working day.
Refund schedule
Provided the cancellation is received in writing, the standard refund schedule is:
- More than 14 days before check-in: full refund of the amount paid.
- Between 7 and 14 days before check-in: 50% refund of the amount paid.
- Less than 7 days before check-in, or no-shows: no refund.
“Days before check-in” is counted from the booking’s check-in date in UK local time (Europe/London). For example, a booking with check-in on Saturday 14 June must be cancelled before 23:59 on Friday 30 May to qualify for a full refund.
How refunds are processed
Refunds are issued to the same card used for the original payment, via Stripe. They typically take 5 to 10 working days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.
Changes to dates
If you need to shift your dates instead of cancelling, contact us. We will do our best to accommodate. Date changes within the same accommodation, where the new dates are available, are usually free of charge. If the new dates have a higher rate, the difference is payable; if lower, no refund of the difference is given.
Cancellations by CA Stay
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a booking on our side (for example because of property damage or a maintenance emergency), we will refund the full amount paid and, where possible, offer an alternative property of equivalent standard.
Exceptional circumstances
We will consider full refunds outside the schedule above for genuine emergencies (serious illness, bereavement, or government travel restrictions) at our discretion and on receipt of supporting documentation.
Disputes
If you are not satisfied with the resolution of a cancellation, please email us before raising a chargeback with your card issuer. We aim to resolve all disputes amicably.

This policy applies only to bookings made directly through ca-stay.com. Bookings made through Airbnb, Booking.com, or other third-party platforms are governed by that platform’s own cancellation policy.
